A compact product.
An experimental launch.
In 2020, during the pandemic, Noah and collaborators saw an opportunity among hygienic door-opening tools. Existing products did not appear as attractive or compact as they could be. SANITAS began with the idea of a more aesthetic tool that could fit into a credit-card-sized format.
Noah designed the product on paper and iterated through 3D-printed prototypes. The aim was to arrive at something usable that could also be manufactured at the volumes the team expected.
The team launched an Indiegogo campaign and used cold outreach to journalists and boutique stores. Boutique wholesale was both a desired sales channel and a possible route for inventory beyond campaign demand. All inventory was ultimately moved through wholesale arrangements with boutique locations via Faire.

The role behind
the work.
Noah’s account establishes his personal work on the paper design and iterative 3D-printed prototypes. He describes the launch, outreach and wholesale work as a team effort. Together, the project went from idea to launch in less than 30 days.
The work brought together product judgment, physical iteration and distribution planning. Journalist outreach supported the launch effort, while boutique wholesale provided the channel through which all inventory was ultimately moved.
The three system studies follow that journey: develop a practical product, take it to market and build a wholesale outlet for the stock.
