A personal AI experiment.

Redditology was Noah’s personal experiment in turning selected Reddit discussions into narrated videos. It combined content selection, generated voices and visuals, video assembly and human review.

A content experiment.
An operating workflow.

Each video followed a post, its comments and their replies, with a graphic and voiceover for each part. The challenge was keeping those pieces in order, choosing suitable material and showing what was ready or had failed.

Early versions used manual collection and prompts. Later versions collected discussions and assembled media automatically, while people still selected content, checked thumbnails and investigated failures.

Retain post identity, source URL and suitability/readiness state.
Operator selects suitable post
Keep low-quality material and excessively long titles outside the production queue.
Apify comment-collection run
Start collection for the selected post and save its run ID on the post.
Scrape-completion callback
Use the returned run identifier to recover the initiating post.
Post, comment and reply records
Preserve comment IDs, source-post links and immediate-parent relationships.
Suitability filters
Apply text, URL, deleted/removed-content and layout-length exclusions.
Excluded source material
Keep unsuitable content out of the selected production material.
Selected material for generation
Pass cleaned text and source/parent identity into asset preparation.
Inspect missing discussion content
Review reply losses and revise experimental ratio filters where necessary.

The role behind

Noah developed the personal project and documented how to operate and troubleshoot it. Teammates contributed to parts of the workflow.

Recorded walkthroughs show generated assets and historical test uploads, alongside corrections and incomplete work. The project supplies a concrete example of coordinating a complex media workflow.

This personal experiment explored content selection, generated media, assembly and review. It remained an iterative project, with manual inspection and recovery built into the workflow.
